For departments and trusts

Training for your department.

Bring Wavelength to your team. We run the core course or focused scanning sessions for your staff only, at your education centre or a venue we arrange, on dates that fit your rota.

What we offer

Built around your team.

01

The core course, for your team

Our full-day core emergency ultrasound course, mapped to the RCEM curriculum, run for your staff only. Your team learns together and leaves with a shared standard.

02

Focused sessions

Shorter, hands-on sessions on the scans your department needs most, such as lung, focused cardiac or proximal DVT. Ideal for a teaching day or a new service.

03

Regional and deanery groups

Courses for trainees, advanced clinical practitioners or physician associates across a region, with one point of contact and one invoice.

Every booking includes

The same standard as our open courses.

  • Teaching by FAMUS-accredited instructors and RCEM-approved ultrasound supervisors
  • One instructor to every four or five delegates, with most of the day on the probe
  • Content mapped to the RCEM curriculum and matched to your department
  • Free Wavelength Academy modules for your team before and after the day, with a certificate for each module passed
  • A certificate of attendance for every delegate, and an attendance and feedback summary for your education lead
  • A fixed quote for the group and an invoice to your trust, deanery or department

Questions

Before you ask.

Where does the training take place?
At your education centre or simulation suite, or at a venue we arrange near you. We need a room for teaching and space for scanning stations.
Do we need to provide ultrasound machines?
We agree machines and scanning models with you when we plan the day. Teaching on the machines your team uses every shift helps learning transfer to practice.
How much does it cost?
We quote a fixed price for the group, based on the format, the number of delegates and the faculty needed. We invoice your trust, deanery or department.
Is the course accredited?
The core course is mapped to the RCEM curriculum. It is taught by FAMUS-accredited instructors and RCEM-approved ultrasound supervisors. Each delegate receives a certificate of attendance for their portfolio and appraisal.
Can delegates of different grades attend together?
Yes. Mixed groups of doctors, advanced clinical practitioners and physician associates work well. Tell us the mix and we set the stations to match.
How far ahead should we book?
Three months ahead gives time to plan rotas and study leave. Ask anyway if you need sooner, as we can sometimes fit a shorter lead time.
